Tarpon police seek gunman who wounded two men

Tarpon Springs police are searching for a gunman who shot two others behind a bank this afternoon.Police received a 911 call reporting a shooting about 2:35 p.m. from an employee at Florida Capital Bank, 710 E. Tarpon Ave. The caller said she heard multiple gunshots in the wooded area behind the bank and then saw a man running south on Walton Avenue.Officers arrived minutes later and found two men suffering from gunshots wounds, police said. Both victims were due to be transported via Bay Flight for treatment of life threatening injuries.Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Tarpon Springs police detectives at (727) 938-2840.
