ST. PETERSBURG -

Some of the best senior talent from both sides of the bay will go head-to-head Wednesday night during the 7th Annual Rays High School All-Star Classic at Tropicana Field.

The yearly domed showcase invites about 50 total players from Pinellas and Hillsborough county public and private high schools to square off on the Tampa Bay Rays' big-league turf for local bragging rights.

Gates open for the game at 5 p.m. and the first pitch is scheduled to fly at 6:30.

The price of admission is a $10 donation for adults and $5 for students, with proceeds going to the Hillsborough and Pinellas Education Foundations.

Wednesday's game is scheduled for nine innings, but the teams needed 14 last year before Team Hillsborough pulled out an 8-5 victory.
