Representing the Southeast region at an annual international tournament in Easley, S.C., the squad made up of primarily North Pinellas all-stars went up 2-0 in fourth and never relinquished that lead.
Palm Harbor University graduate Brian Auerbach went the distance for Clearwater, surrendering his only run in the top of the seventh.
Clearwater finished the tournament 5-1 overall, with its only loss coming against host team SC District 1 last weekend.
Puerto Rico entered the championship game as the tournament's only unbeaten team.
