TARPON SPRINGS -

Seasoned veterans of the local hospitality industry or those less familiar with what the city has to offer are being invited to participate in a pub crawl this Saturday.

The Tarpon Springs Pub Crawl, scheduled for 2-10 p.m., will hit seven different locations in the downtown, Sponge Docks and more.

Those bars and restaurants are the Tarpon Tavern, Wine at the Docks, Ballyhoo Grill, Lagerheadz, Anclote Brew, Rusty Bellies and Saint Somewhere Brewing.

To help participants with the crawling aspect of Saturday’s event, the Jolley Trolley will shuttle people from place to place.

This is the second pub crawl coming through Tarpon Springs involving the trolley in nearly as many months. Dan Jenkin, owner of the Tarpon Tavern, helped organize that February crawl, which included Dunedin and the Palm Harbor area.

To participate, pub crawlers can sign up in advance or join in on the day of.

Joining early has its perks for the event because it shaves the price of the $25 ticket down to $20.

The crawl starts by signing up and receiving a wristband at Tarpon Tavern, 21 N. Safford Ave., or Wine at the Docks, 828 Dodecanese Blvd.

In addition to bouncing around town, there will be free beer tastings onboard the Jolley Trolley and raffles, giveaways and other specials at the participating bars.

Contact the Tarpon Tavern at (727) 945-1000 or email tarpontavern@gmail.com with more questions or to register.
