TARPON SPRINGS -

The city released two water-related advisories to residents in as many days.

A boil water notice was issued this morning for a number of residents in northwest Tarpon Springs after a water line break on Holiday Drive at Pinecrest Circle. Ten homes are affected by the break and subsequent low water pressure.

The boil notice is expected to be in effect for two working days. Repairs must be completed and a clear water test must be received before the boil notice is lifted.

Yesterday’s advisory alerted residents to the brief suspension of reclaimed water services.

The city’s press release states that storage tanks are currently holding minimal supplies of reclaimed water at a time when demand has been abnormally high due to drought conditions.

Reclaimed services shut down on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and last through today. City utility officials are still asking residents to help conserve water once the system goes back on line.

For more information on either issue, call the city at (727) 938-3711.
