A cool start will quickly give way to a pleasant afternoon as a gradual warming trend as the Tampa Bay area finally returns to springlike conditions this weekend.
Temperatures are starting off in the mid-40s in most areas, but will climb into the low- to mid-70s under sunny skies and light breezes as a high-pressure system settles over the area, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Lows tonight will only dip to 53.
The ideal conditions continue through the weekend. Saturday’s high will reach the upper-70s with lows in the mid- to upper-50s, and kids hunting eggs on Easter Sunday can expect highs approaching 80 under sunny skies.
The warming trend extends into next week, but with increased humidity and rain chances as winds shift from the south.
