PALM HARBOR — Get your fins up.
The 2014 Parrot Head Party is set to take over the historic downtown Palm Harbor district all day Saturday.
Roughly 10,000 partygoers are expected to show up to this Jimmy Buffett-themed event, which will take place runs 2–10 p.m.
“It’s an all-day street party, pretty much,” said Louise Goetz, owner of Lulu’s Beach House Cafe and an event coordinator.
The main stage will be on Florida Avenue, between Peggy O’Neills Irish Pub and Eatery and The Thirsty Marlin, and food, drink and merchandise vendors will be stationed throughout downtown.
Providing many of Buffett’s classic island tunes will be Retro Express and the day’s featured band, The Caribbean Chillers. The latter will perform a four-hour concert that wraps up the night.
The event, in its 13th year, is officially presented by the Downtown Palm Harbor Merchants Association and the Tampa Bay Parrot Heads in Paradise Club.
