An Oldsmar man was sentenced to two years, nine months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone.
As part of the sentence, 33-year-old Rick Higgins also was ordered to serve three years’ probation and pay $239,000, the proceeds of his Oxycodone distribution.
Higgins pleaded guilty on Oct. 16.
According to court documents, Higgins mailed packages of Oxycodone to a co-conspirator in the Boston area for a period of 2-3 years. Higgins received payments of more than $239,000 from cash bank deposits made in Massachusetts into accounts that he controlled.
