New St. Pete police chief to meet public Saturday

Published:

The public will have to have the opportunity to meet St. Petersburg’s new police chief on Saturday.

Former Clearwater police chief Anthony Holloway will appear at an informal meet-and-greet from 9 a.m. until noon at the St. Petersburg Museum of History, 335 2nd Avenue N.E.

Free parking will be available.

Holloway was chosen by St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman on Monday after a seven-month selection process that produced four finalists, all of whom Kriseman passed over.

He officially takes over as police chief next month.
