Jazz crooner and pianist Harry Connick Jr. has a severe cold and has postponed his concert scheduled for Tuesday at Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall until Friday, Nov. 22
Tickets for the Tuesday show will be honored on the new date. Anyone who wants a refund needs to return their tickets to the Ruth Eckerd ticket office by Friday.
Connick is no stranger to Pinellas County, performing four previous times at Ruth Eckerd and starring in the 2011 film “Dolphin Tale,” which was produced in Clearwater in 2010.
It’s a busy time for Connick, who was already on tour behind his CD “What Every Man Should Know” before he was named to be a judge for the next season of “American Idol.” Also, the sequel, “Dolphin Tale 2,” is expected to begin production in Clearwater this fall, and Connick is slated to reprise his role of “Clearwater Marine Hospital” director Clay Haskett.
Reserved tickets are priced at $125, $90 and $50 will be available at the Ruth Eckerd Hall box office, at 1111 McMullen-Booth Road, by calling (727) 791-7400 or online at www.rutheckerdhall.com.
