Former St. Pete teacher charged with having sexual relationship with teen

Pinellas County detectives charged a former St. Petersburg teacher with having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.

Elisha Joy Kingsley, 39, is charged with one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, said the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

The known incident occurred on or around July 5, detectives said.

Detectives said Kingsley, from St. Petersburg, met the victim while she was teaching at a private St. Petersburg school. They started text messaging in June and later began meeting in person throughout Pinellas County, the sheriff’s office said.
