Folk singer Tom Rush coming to Tarpon

TARPON SPRINGS — American folk and blues musician Tom Rush will be in Tarpon Springs for a live performance Friday night to promote his latest CD/DVD combo, “Celebrates 50 Years of Music.”

The show will go on at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, which is located inside City Hall at 324 Pine St., at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $35 or $33 for Performing Arts Center members and students.

Rush, 72, has been playing and touring since the early 1960s. His latest album is a two-disc CD and DVD combo that includes footage from his live appearance on Dec. 28, 2012 at Boston Symphony Hall to celebrate 50 years in the music industry.
