Female suspects sought in Clearwater lobster theft

Published:

Pinellas County deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating two women they say are seen on surveillance video stealing lobster tails from a Clearwater seafood market while caring for two young children.

Deputies say the suspects are seen entering Wards Seafood Market & Galley, 1001 Belleair Road, on Wednesday around 1:45 p.m.

The women were seen standing near a tall cooler, police say, before one of the suspects reached in, took multiple lobster tails and placed them in the bottom of a stroller with a baby inside.

The women, baby and a young girl then were seen leaving the store and driving away in a newer-model four-dor maroon sedan.

The first suspect has short black hair. She was last seen wearing a black and white striped dress, carrying a black and white striped bag and pushing a stroller.

The second has a lip pearcing, and was last seen wearing a multi-colored striped dress, balck hair cap and carrying a baby carrier.

Anyone with information is asked to contact (727) 582-6200. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, contact Crime Stoppers toll free at (800) 873-TIPS.
