CAP baby shower event this Saturday

TARPON SPRINGS — Citizens Alliance for Progress, in collaboration with other local agencies, will sponsor the 2014 Community Baby Shower in North Pinellas this Saturday.

The baby shower is designed to aid expectant and current mothers by distributing essential information and connecting them with vendors and other resources.

“This event will assist with preparing the mothers with a healthy and happy first year in the world of parenting,” CAP Program Director Carmen Wilson wrote in a press release.

Activities are scheduled Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Union Academy, at 401 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Vendors will be set up at different stations to deliver information useful to the health and well-being of children.

Food, gifts and door prizes will be available for attendees throughout the day.

Vendors or others interested in contributing to the baby shower can contact Carmen Wilson at (727) 934-5881, ext. 12.
