A West Pasco man was charged with 123 counts of video voyeurism today when an IT employee discovered videos on his computer showing five victims using bathrooms and showering in the company’s locker room.
Police say James Stanton, of Trinity, chief financial officer at MaintenX International on 2202 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, has been using a recording device to shoot more than 200 videos since 2010.
After serving a search warrant at MaintenX, Stanton was arrested there this morning and is being held at Orient Road Jail on $615,000 bond — $5,000 on each of the 123 counts.
Although Stanton took more than 200 videos, victims were identified in 123 of them. Police are working to identify some victims whoses faces could not be seen in the videos.
The IT employee discovered the videos after he was asked to service Standon’s computer, police say. He turned the videos over to management, but came to police after he said management did not act.
Stanton is seen in videos manipulating the camera after the women exit the rooms, police say.
Police are processing additional evidence to determine if there are additional videos and to determine if other employees are involved.
Any other possible victims are asked to call (813) 231-6130.
