Sinkhole causes evacuations in Holiday

Published:

Several homes were evacuated in Holiday early Sunday when a large sinkhole opened under the driveway and garage of a house, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

The 20-foot hole opened underneath the driveway at 4923 Calias Drive, deputies said.

No injuries were reported.

The evacuated residents were allowed to return to their homes after Pasco County Fire Rescue determined the sinkhole did not appear to be spreading, deputies said.
