Pasco-Hernando State College’s Rao Musunuru, M.D., Art Gallery will display artwork from students of the Red Apple School in an exhibit titled “Creative Works.”

An opening reception for the exhibition, sponsored by the PHSC Student Government Association, will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21. The exhibit continues through Sept. 25.

The first art exhibit of the new season, “Creative Works” stands as a true testament to the Red Apple School’s mission to educate and nurture developmentally disabled adults, Courtney Boettcher, the college’s assistant director of marketing and communications, explained in a press release.

Gallery visitors will experience first-hand the result of the student’s artistic exploration as they overcome physical challenges independently and with hand over hand assistance.

Among works will be “Butterflies,” by Joann Bryant.

The Rao Musunuru, M.D. , Art Gallery is in the Alric C.T. Pottberg Library at PHSC West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road.

Art gallery hours are from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday. Art exhibits are free and open to the public.

For more information about exhibits at the gallery, call (727) 816-3231 or visit www.phsc.edu/gallery.
