As part of National Community Service Day, Rasmussen College students and staff and their mascot Rassy visited several local elementary schools including Cypress, Deer Park, Northwest and Chasco Elementary.

At Deer Park Elementary, Rasmussen volunteers led craft activities and outdoor play with students in the summer program.

At Cypress Elementary, the college volunteers read to youngsters and led reading discussions.

At Chasco Elementary, the volunteers and students focused on wellness and healthy food choices.

To date, Rasmussen volunteers have donated more than 28,000 hours as part of Community Service Day.

The event is part of Rasmussen’s Public Benefit Corporation efforts and commitment to “Build Community Through Education.”
