Molly Dodd, a 2009 graduate of River Ridge High School, was the keynote speaker at the Lucky Leprechaun luncheon, presented by the Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter DZ of New Port Richey at Timber Greens Clubhouse.

Dodd, a 2009 Florida State P.E.O. Scholarship recipient sponsored by Chapter DZ of New Port Richey, will graduate in May from Southeastern University, Lakeland, with a double major in broadcasting and journalism. She has been accepted for an internship at Fox News in New York City starting this summer.

During the luncheon, Dodd gave an overview of her life, and spoke about how receiving the scholarship was an additional incentive to pursue her dreams and prepare for her future after losing both her parents in the last several years.

P.E.O. sponsors young women seeking a post-secondary education. Women can apply through chapters for college scholarships and grants. For information about scholarship availability email Phyllis Faulkner at phyllisanna@gmail.com.
