The Pasco County sheriff is asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect in a recent purse snatching.

About 8:40 p.m. Dec. 4, the suspect called a woman over to his car and asked for a lighter, which she provided, the sheriff’s office said. A man then reached out of the car and took a wallet out of her hand.

The suspect fled in a four-door, dark green Honda Civic, heading west on Ranch Road, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff released photos of the suspect that were taken prior to the robbery at the BP gas station, 11006 U.S. 19, Port Richey.

Anyone who can help identify the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s Tipsline at 1-800-706-2488. The case reference number is: 13-61332.
