Pasco school employee faces federal child porn charges

A Pasco County school emplyoee faces a minimum of five years in prison after his arrest on federal child pornography charges.

Kenneth Dempsey, 52, an after-school employee at Schrader Elementary School in New Port Richey, was arrested Monday and is being held at the Pinellas County Jail.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Dempsey has sent and received multiple images of child pornography from a computer at his house since last August.

A bond hearing is scheduled Thursday for Dempsey, who could face a maximum of 20 years in federal prison.
