Men fatally struck by another car after Hudson crash

Published:

Two Pasco County men were killed Sunday night after they were involved in a crash in Hudson, and then struck by another car while in the roadway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 72-year-old Terry Maurice Edwards was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Hudson Avenue around 9:10 a.m. and attempted to turn left into a private driveway when he drove into the path of a motorcycle ridden by 29-year-old Kenneth Michael Demmith, of Zephyrhills.

Demmith, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle, and Edwards exited his truck to check on him, the FHP said.

While on the roadway, the FHP said Edwards and Demmith were killed when they were struck by an eastbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 59-year-old John Lindsay, of Hudson.

Alcohol was not a factor in either crash, the FHP said.
