People can put the pedal to the medal to get to a classic car show, model plan exhibit and much more at a community fair at Medical Center of Trinity this weekend.

The Start Your Engines event will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the hospital, 9330 S.R. 54.

The public is invited to join the team of Medical Center of Trinity for a time of “amazing engines, food, and fun,” hospital spokeswoman Mary Sommise said in a press release.

In addition to classic cars and model airplanes, Sommise said, the event will commemorate one of the most powerful engines of all, the human body.

Community experts and the hospital’s physicians will discuss how the body works and what makes it go.

Educational stations will include: heart and vascular; cancer; back pain; knee and hip pain; gall bladder; digestive; low testosterone; rehabilitative services; wound care; and women’s imaging services.

Interactive activities and displays will include:

Classic car show.

West Pasco Model Pilots Association.

Michael’s Apiaries – Pure & Natural Honey.

Home Depot – Trending Tools & Kids’ Club.

Trinity Fitness Club.

Wal-Mart of Trinity – Take It Outside! The Latest In Camping & Fishing.

Subway Restaurant will feature mini boxed lunches for $3.

Although reservations are not required, the hospital’s “engine crew” would like an idea of how many people will attend, Sommise said. For advance registration call (727) 834-5630.
