Look, up in the sky! It’s library’s first big ‘comicon’

Published:

The Hudson Regional Library Comicon and Betacom saluted many of the heroes immortalized in comic books for the past few decades.

Jared Papola, 16, of Hudson, was decked out in the all-black Spider-Man costume that Marvel Comics adopted for a time before Spidey reverted to his traditional blue-and-red duds.

Jared was among the 50 or so youths who attended the event, many in costume.

Even Hudson Library Youth Librarian Wendy Rutherford joined the fun, dressing up as Raphael from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Austin Gomez, 16, of Hudson, said it took him about four months to organize the event.
