NEW PORT RICHEY — Hundreds of spectators saw the Genesis School students perform in the recent Christmas play at Sims Park.

Pupils in grades K-5 presented “The Wizard’s Dilemma,” about a forgetful wizard who can’t remember the spell that will conjure up some Christmas magic.

Students also sung some fun holiday tunes, such as a classic by Alvin and the Chipmunks, plus many traditional Christmas songs.

It’s the 26th year the school has put on a Christmas play for the community, Melissa Nurrenbrock pointed out as head of the venerable private schools.

As a bonus, see the video attached with the article as the students sing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
