FHP seeks hit-and-run driver in Holiday crash

Published:

— The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a July 26 hit-and-run in which a couple and their 4-month-old baby were injured.

FHP has obtained a warrant for the arrest of Damian Ray Eagan, 29, of Holiday on a charge of leaving the scene of a traffic crash with injury. It’s possible Eagan fled the area and could be in Miami, FHP reported.

Dakota and Jordan Harwood, both 17, of Holiday, were pushing their baby, Jayson Harwood, in a stroller on the edge of the roadway on Chatlin Road, north of Cincinnati Drive, about 3:20 p.m. July 26 when a blue Ford Crown Victoria struck Dakota Harwood, FHP reported.

The impact knocked him into Jordan Harwood and overturned the stroller, spilling the baby onto the road, a report said.

All three Harwoods suffered minor injuries, FHP reported. Dakota Harwood was treated at the scene, while Jordan Harwood was treated at Medical Center of Trinity. Jayson Harwood was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FHP at (813) 631-4020.
