He initially was being held in the county jail without bail.Line reportedly went to a neighbor's house about 1 a.m. Sunday and, standing outside, tried to lure the neighbor into a verbal argument, the report said. The neighbor, Wayne P. McDermott, 48, first responded through a window, questioning what Line was doing, then went to the front door of his home, the report said.As McDermott stood on his front deck, Line, standing at the roadway, pulled a .357 revolver from his waistband and shot McDermott twice, the report said.McDermott was taken to the trauma center at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point for treatment and is expected to recover from his wounds, Pasco sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said.Another neighbor who witnessed the shooting told investigators he had spoken with Line just minutes earlier and Line, brandishing a revolver, had said, "I'm going to make things right," referring to an earlier altercation, the report said. The report did not say what the subject of the disagreement was.
