The victims in a beating and robbery in New Port Richey were identified Monday by Pasco County deputies.
Joseph M. Bruno, 44, was attacked and robbed by three people, and his neighbor, David Lee Ragon, 69, was struck with a baseball bat as he tried to intervene, officials said.
Both live on the 13000 block of Midvale Avenue in the Moon Lake neighborhood.
Deputies are searching for Vanessa Musson, 25, a suspect in the attacks. She should be considered armed and dangerous.
Deputies said they think Musson may be in a 2000 white Ford Econoline van that has a roof-ladder rack with a tag of 366TQH. She is white, 5 feet tall and 145 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes; she has multiple tattoos on her back, ankles and chest including "Nessa" on her arm, according to the sheriff's office.
Musson, Bobbie Jo Curtis and her 16-year-old son, Bryan Curtis, are accused of assaulting Bruno and Ragon and stealing several guns and a van from Bruno's home.
Curtis, 40, and her son are in custody and face charges of false imprisonment, aggravated battery, attempted homicide and grand theft of an auto.
Deputies said Bruno met Curtis online and invited her and her son to move in with him. They had been at his home for about a week when she decided to rob him, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
The Curtises and Musson tied up and beat Bruno, then began taking items and guns out of the home and loading them into the Bruno's van, the sheriff's office reported.
Ragon saw them loading the van and questioned them about his neighbor. When he tried to walk into the Midvale Avenue home, he was hit in the head with a baseball bat, deputies said. When he awoke, he called 911.
Bruno was hospitalized in stable condition with serious head injuries.
