A 52-year-old woman who stabbed a man's tire with a kitchen knife after a Clearwater crash on Tuesday faces multiple charges, police said.

Theresa D. Rubalcava is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with damage, criminal mischief and possession of narcotics, said Elizabeth Watts, spokeswoman for the Clearwater Police Department.

Angelo Yasparro, 42, was in the left turn lane on Court Street just west of Osceola Avenue when he decided to change lanes and get into the westbound through lane, Watts said.

He pulled his 2000 Dodge pickup truck in front of Rubalcava's 2000 Chevy Astro van, and a collision occurred, Watts said.

Rubalcava then got out of her vehicle in the middle of the road, pulled a knife from her pocket and stabbed the driver's front tire of Yasparro's truck, Watts said.

She fled the scene and was found at the Clearwater Aquarium.

Yasparro was also issued a citation, Watts said.
