Pinellas County deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in a theft at a Sprint store in Oldsmar.

On Aug. 26, deputies say the man is seen on surveillance video approaching the counter at the store, 4022 Tampa Road, and asking the employee for assistance.

After telling the employee he needed to retrieve something he had forgotten in his car, deputies say he left the store with the employee’s mobile phone.

The suspect returned a few moments later to say that he did not have the item, then left again.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt with a white undershirt, dark-colored shorts and dark-colored tennis shoes. The suspect has a tattoo on the back of his neck and a vertical tattoo on the outside of his right ankle and calf.

Anyone with information is asked to contact (727) 582-6200. To remain anonymous or be eligible for a cash reward, contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-TIPS or go to www.crimestoppersofpinellas.org.
