CLEARWATER — The Salvation Army Joy Center Toyland program will distribute gifts to needy North Pinellas County residents from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Thursday.

The annual event takes place at The Salvation Army Joy Center on 1521 E. Druid Road in Clearwater.

Pre-registered parents will have the opportunity to “shop” for toys for the children and each family will also receiver a Christmas ham and food basket at no cost.

According to Salvation Army estimates, approximately 5,000 North Pinellas children will get to unwrap presents because of the program.

All toys are brand new and provided by The Salvation Army and other local toy drives.

Dozens of volunteers are expected to be on-hand to assist parents.
